GP appointments
Patients are not able to book directly into GP appointments at Minet Green Health Practice. All GP appointment requests are reviewed by a clinician before being booked as part of our Total Triage appointment system.
You can submit an appointment request in several different ways:
- Contact us online to request an appointment by submitting a medical request
- Use your NHS account (through the NHS website or NHS app) to request an appointment
- Phone us on 0203 930 3533
If you call, our team will ask you a few questions about what you need help with, and they may ask you to complete the online form in order to request an appointment.
We will use your answers to choose the most suitable healthcare professional to help you. This may be a GP, pharmacist, nurse, physiotherapist, or another member of our multi-disciplinary team.
How does total triage work?
- You submit an appointment request, either over the phone or online
- All requests are added to the daily triage list
- All requests are reviewed by a triaging clinician
- You will then be contacted by phone call or text message to either:
- arrange an appointment at Minet Green
- refer or signpost you to a more appropriate service
- ask for more information
There is lots more information about our Total Triage system on our contact us online page
If you need help with your appointment
Please tell us:
- if there’s a specific GP or other health professional you would prefer to see or speak to
- if you would prefer to consult with the clinician by phone, face-to-face, or by text or email
- if you need an interpreter
- if you have any other access or communication needs
Home visits
Whenever possible please try to come to the practice for your appointments, which is where we are best able to provide you with safe and effective care.
If you would like to request a home visit, please ring the practice as early in the morning as possible. We will arrange for you to speak with the duty doctor to make an assessment and arrange a home visit or advise you of other care options as appropriate.
Change or cancel an appointment
Please give us as much notice as possible so we can offer your appointment to someone else.
To cancel your appointment:
- Use your NHS account (through the NHS website or NHS App)
- Cancel using the GP online system
- Phone us on 0203 930 3533
